Freiburg Mobility Talks nominated for the "We Make Mobility Transition!" Award
Our Freiburg Mobility Talks are appreciated by the state government of Baden-Württemberg and are among the 20 projects nominated für the “We Make Mobility Transition!” Award of the Ministry of Transport. This Award honors people in companies, municipalities and organizations who professionally implement ideas for sustainable mobility.
Transport Minister Winfried Hermann MP: “Many people in Baden-Württemberg are promoting the mobility transition. You present solutions and set trends. Such ideas make everyday life easier and are a gain in quality of life for society. We make the originators of the ideas and their projects known through the award and thus show where and how the mobility transition is already happening. "
In order to bring news from the national and international developers front directly to Germany's Southwest region and to encourage everyone involved in discussing, planning, designing or taking decisions on future urban mobility, we are holding a series of “Freiburg Mobility Talks”.
At intervals of one to two months, mosaic pieces of future mobility are presented - innovative mobility solutions that every mobility manager should get to know firsthand. Every session focuses on a new technology, innovative solution, product, service or method. We invite the respective developers, manufacturers or providers - often startups - to present their motivation, company, and work.
Which innovative technologies, vehicles, mobility services and planning instruments are on the market? Which ones are suitable for being included in our vision of the future? Public leaders can get an idea of innovative solutions and their developers and providers for their planning and in advance of tender procedures.
An exclusive group of political decision-makers from cities, towns and counties as well as city and transport planners, transport companies, mobility associations and transport & energy experts in the region from Offenburg via Freiburg to Basel and the southwestern Black Forest are invited to the facilitated working sessions.
